VCA Covington Animal Hospital

The staff were very nice and the vet was very calm and gentle with my 11 yr old cat. She is spicy at the vet and Dr. Bradley Walls was one of the only people that has been able to thoroughly look at her teeth during the check up. I was surprised at the end as it was my first time at this clinic and the appointment was free (first appointment only) and I even got some health goodies for my cat. Great place.

Words cannot describe how we feel about this Vet Clinic. We recently lost our very old calico cat (Sugerloaf) to kidney failure. When diagnosed two years ago, the staff created a very well thought out treatment plan that gave Sugerloaf an additional two years with us. Nothing excessive but a very sensible plan that also prepared us for the inevitable and focused on her quality of life all the way to the end. Every staff member took the time to get to know us and our pet. The treatment Sugerloaf received was way over and above what we expected. These people truly love animals and truly care about their customers. Something unheard of in our current society.

VCA Covington is outstanding! The front desk staff is professional, cheerful and caring. The doctors are all great, but Dr. Davis is our regular vet and she is absolutely awesome. Our dog has had some health issues and she goes back over the chart and researches if necessary before recommending any treatment/meds etc so as not to have any conflicts. I always have confidence in the recommendations/suggestions.

When I called my previous vet, telling them my cat was lethargic and not eating (which is very unusual for my cat), they couldn't get me in for a few days. So I called VCA Covington Animal Hospital, and they got me in that day. If they hadn't, my cat would have died from kidney failure. Dr. Walsh is amazing. After examining my little friend and obtaining test results, she called me back and talked with me for a long time to give me a thorough rundown of the treatments available and what my options were. Now my pet is doing fine! I can't thank VCA enough!

We brought our dogs and cats here in the past. Over the last few years we've switched vets, not due to poor treatment, but because they're not up front about basic cost of services.

They'll give the basic exam fee over the phone, but when asked for the cost of blood work and other routine things they won't provide a cost.

The only answer they give over the phone is that they'll tell you after a basic exam.

This has happened three times in the past few years when we've thought about going back to them because it's close to our home.

We refuse to do business with places like this that operate like a car dealership.

I purchased a kitten from someone on Craigslist and the poor thing had fleas, worms and a kitty cold. (People can be so cruel) anyhow I called and was able to get an appointment right away and they were able to give my little guys meds to make
Him feel better.

I've brought several of my animals here and every single time it reminds me why I come back
Again and again. If you want someone to treat your pet and not charge you for things you don't need this is the place to come! Will definitely be back!!

Today was the hardest day with our best furry friend. I can't believe there is a better place out there to help us through this. Their support and kindness can't be surpassed!!!

We have been going here for at least 20 years. We moved out of Covington but still go here because we love the staff and the care our animals get. Our sweet kitty was about to pass on and his body was shutting down. So they squeezed us in and were so kind and comforting as we had to say goodbye to our kitty. Then a couple days later, we see a sympathy card in the mail from them. They are an amazing vet and would recommend to anyone.

Very nice group of gals I dealt with yesterday when I had an emergency with my doggie. Triaged immediately, fit me in and took excellent care of my pet. She even relaxed, which was a minor miracle. After going to the VCA in Kent, this one was a breath of fresh air.

I had always seen this vet when I was out in Covington, but never stopped by. VCA is located near Walmart and Nikki's restaurant. It has a small parking lot with maybe ten spaces, and a small area for dogs to use the restroom before going inside.

My small Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix had randomly been yelping out in pain, so I needed to bring her in. VCA Animal Hospitals offer a free first exam (coupon online) so I decided to try this place out.

I was able to make an appointment the same day I called. The girls at the front desk were very friendly. I didn't have to wait long before going in to the exam room. It is a typical vet room, with a chair for you to sit, an exam table - the usual. Kelsey, the vet assistant, was great. I can't remember the how to spell the name of the vet that did the exam - and I can't seem to find her name on the website - but she was very, very informative, helpful, and gentle with my dog. She gave a lot of good options for me, and provided me with a ton of information on the conditions my dog has, and was able to help me out with medications as well.

They are not pushy, and it doesn't seem like the type of place that plays on the heart strings of pet owners - they seem very honest and that they actually care for the well being of your pet. They provide you with different options instead of forcing one idea on you. I really appreciate that. If I have any other issues I will most likely return here.
