More than 25 years ago, it began with a simple goal: to make great coffee and build great friendships. Since then, a lot has changed, but we’ve held fast to that mission that first opened our doors.
In 1991, Java! Java! Coffee Company opened up shop as a single espresso push-cart outside of a grocery store in our hometown of Maple Valley, Washington. Here, we mastered our trade and cultivated meaningful customer relationships; after all, we knew it would take more than great coffee to succeed. But when the grocery store closed, we lost our location. We quickly recognized that what appeared to be a bump in the road was our opportunity to grow; we knew our coffee was worth sharing.
Over the next 10 years, we worked to grow our business. We opened four drive-thru locations, one café, and a small-batch roastery. We doubled our number of blends, expanded our wholesale services, and committed ourselves to intention, integrity and innovation. We immersed ourselves in the specialty coffee industry, learning everything we could so that we could share it with others.
Java! Java! is a family-owned business and we celebrate the importance of community. What started in the town we call home has since expanded far outside the city limits, but we continue to embrace the smallness of our company and the values it was founded on. Our customers know this by the essence of our relationships and the perfection found in every cup, each a testament to our care and commitment.
