There are 28 elementary schools in the Kent School District. Grades K-3 have a target classroom size of 23 students with a student-teacher ratio of 1:23. Grades 4-6 have a target classroom size of 27 students with a student-teacher ratio of 1:27. The highly capable program has a student-teacher ratio of 1:23. Extra assistance is available to teachers when enrollment exceeds target class sizes.
There are 6 middle schools in the Kent School District. Grades 7-8 have a daily target load of 143 students per teacher. When class load limits are surpassed, additional assistance is provided. One of our KSD middle schools features a tech academy dedicated to transforming education through technology.

There are 3 academy schools in the Kent School District. These unique schools are a blend of multiple grade levels in one learning environment. Some academies have grades 3-12, some only secondary students. Academy schools assist students with general education and credit retrieval. Our newest academy gives students who have dropped out a second chance to earn a high school diploma or GED.
